  23. Right,  This is the mail that will end this annoying mass argument.

  25. Anyone who thinks Amos is slow is no good at programming.  Amos is 
  26. very fast if you disable all automatic things and take care of them 
  27. yourself.  Structure your programs properly, no gosubs, gotos etc...
  28. Reuse variables, dont use double buffered screens (Take care of the 
  29. flicker yourself by a bit of nifty screen copying).

  31. The programming language is only as good as the programmer!

  33. If you want speed and total control the best option is machine code.  
  34. A few years ago, if you wanted a fast running program you had to 
  35. write your code in machine code.  There was no pissing around with 
  36. interpreters and compilers.  I had to do it on the spectrum so there 
  37. is no excuse for the Amiga (And dont come all this 'well the Amiga 
  38. has a more complex processor' crudd because it hasnt,  the Z80 had 
  39. over 700 different commands and more addressing modes than you can 
  40. shake a stick at!)

  42. If you ask me both Amos and Blitz are both crap in there own way.  
  43. Where one is crap the other is OK and the other way round.
